Chengdu bamboo weaving porcelain is generally a piece of porcelain tightly enwound with fine and soft bamboo threads and slips. It is a unique Han national artifact in Chengdu area originated from bamboo weaving in royal palaces dating back to more than one hundred years ago. Back then it was mainly used as tributes, character ized by its f ine selection of raw materials, rigorous at tachment technique and diversif ied use of colors. In 2008 bamboo weaving porcelain was included in the f irst batch of intangible culture projects protected at national level.
