With a history of more than 3000 years, Shu embroider y is one of the four great embroideries of China along with Su embroidery, Xiang embroidery and Yue embroidery. Shu embroidery is famously known for rigorous composition of patterns and use of vibrant colors. In 2006 Shu embroidery was off icially included in the f irst batch of intangible culture projects protected at national level.
